Q: What does Melbourne Kyudo ‘Kai’ stands for?
- A: It is a translation of “メルボルン弓道会”, ‘Kai’ meaning Club/Association.
Q: Is MKK a Victoria University club? Do I have to be a VU student to participate?
- A: No, MKK is an independent body that has no affiliations with Victoria University. We only hire the courts from them.
Q: I have previous kyudo experience - do I still need to attend the introductory course?
- A: To operate in a safe environment with live arrows, please drop us a line on our facebook page , or e-mail us at melbournekyudokai@gmail.com for a discussion about your experience. If you have sufficient experience, then no, you can join straight in our regular training sessions!
Q: I’m a interstate/international visitor, staying for a short period of time - can I join?
- A: Yes. Similar to above, please contact us for a discussion regarding the length of your stay and your experience level. We have club bows and arrows for member use - all you might need to bring with you is your gi and glove.
Q: If I can’t make training for a month, do I still have to pay the monthly fee?
- A: No, if you have not attended one session within the month, you do not have to pay the training fee.
